Tip Tuesday – That’s a Wrap
RECYCLING BAG: We actually place this BEHIND our sofa to toss scraps of wrapping paper in as we go, so that no mess is evident as we leisurely unwrap our gifts. The wide-mouthed paper shopping bag is easy to toss in our recycle bin once the unwrap is over.
PEN & PAPER (not shown): Make sure you jot down who gave you what so that thank-you notes can be sent before the New Year.
SHARP SCISSORS: Keep them on hand to unpackage those hard-to-open items.
And, most importantly…
PLAID PRIMARY BIN: This bin is where cash, checks, gift cards, and small expensive items (think electronics and jewelry) go the MOMENT they are unwrapped. This bin prevents things from going missing in the wrapping paper remains and from being tossed out inadvertently.
All of these tips can be used for birthdays, graduations, showers, and other events where many gifts are unwrapped at once.
Here’s to a wonderful holiday season and hoping you get what you wished for!
