Tip Tuesday – Donate From Your Desk

So you have done your spring cleaning, and have some great stuff to donate, but WHAT NOW? Sometimes that trip across town to Goodwill or Salvation Army is the one hurdle between you and a pile-free living room.

But here in the DMV we are so lucky to have Go Green Drop, which comes to Arlington for donation pickup TWICE a week! All you have to do is choose a charity, schedule a pickup, label your bags and boxes with your charity of choice, and put them outside your door by 7 a.m. the day of your pickup. It is SO easy and they take almost everything but furniture and large appliances.

What if you don’t have a driveway, porch, or step on which you can leave your castaways? Try Give Back Box! Take any cardboard box that you have lying around, fill it with your offerings, print out a label, and drop it off at a Post Office or UPS. Most apartment concierges will do this for you, too. It is that simple!

I have a client who has agreed, for the summer, to fill each box that comes IN with donations to go OFF! And she reports that it is working! Challenge yourself to do the same and let us know how it works.
