20 Years In Business!
Will you join me to celebrate? I’ve spent TWO decades advising, arranging, simplifying, and organizing. It’s been such a joy helping my students and clients for 20 years! And this marks six full years of sharing ideas and inspiration every Tuesday as well!
Here are some highlights of the last twenty years:
Sept 2003 – My daughter’s first day of Kindergarten was the exact day I decided to go into business as an Organizer.
2008 – Joined NAPO’s “Golden Circle” and passed my exam to become a Certified Professional Organizer®. I’m very proud of this designation as there are fewer than 400 CPO’s® worldwide! 🤩
2011 – Gave over a dozen talks in person in 12 months, including a “standing room only” seminar at my local library and for the USPS.
2014 – Won “Best Home-Based Business” Award from Arlington Chamber of Commerce.. 🏆💫
2017 – Launched “Holding Hangers” and participated in the HSN American Dreams symposium. Started writing “Tip Tuesdays”.
2018 – Won “Organizer of the Year” from Washington DC NAPO Chapter. 🏅✨
2020 – Organized staff and spaces at the DC SPY Museum. Closed Holding Hangers.
2021 – Launched “The Paper Cleanse” course, which now has had scores of students from four continents!
2023 – Created my membership community “The Clarity Connection”. And was invited to be an Organization Expert and Educator for “Gen+ Teach Leadership Programme” at the University of Strathclyde Business School in Glasgow, joining a range of expert contributors from across the globe.
As I reflect on my past two decades in business, and the lives (and stuff) I’ve touched, I’m excited about the future! My mission remains the same: to empower people to lead more organized and fulfilling lives.
